Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to submit an application fee to Alvernia?
No, don’t pay the application fee! If you choose Life Transforming Ministries when enrolling, Alvernia's enrollment team will process a fee waiver for you after you submit your application for admission.
Will classes that I took at schools other than Harcum transfer into my bachelor’s degree?
All courses taken at previous institutions will be reviewed to see how they may apply to your bachelor’s degree. We can accept up to 75 credits in total.
Can I still take 100% online courses?
Yes! Our upcoming courses are offered online, but you those who are pursuing the BSW (Social Work) program will have some virtual, synchronized courses.
Am I eligible for a laptop if I don’t have access to a computer?
Yes! When you enroll with LTM for an Alvernia University degree, you’re eligible to receive a laptop.
Here’s how it works:
1. Purchase your laptop through the Alvernia University Bookstore during your first semester.
2. The initial cost of the laptop may be covered by your financial aid package. Check with a financial aid advisor or our Higher Education Specialist to discuss your personal situation.
3. After the add/drop week of your second semester, Alvernia will credit your student account for the full cost of the laptop.
NOTE: A $50 technology fee will be added each semester for the duration of your degree program.
When can I register for classes?
After your associates degree is conferred, Alvernia will process your official transcript as quickly as possible. Once your transcript is evaluated, the enrollment team will provide final course recommendations for registration.
